Just recently I ran across this posting to the HOWELL BOARDS by Paul Kiar on 1 Jun 2001. The subject is shown as:
William Howell Fam.(Walter Howell-Nancy Lawrence), Orange Co. N.C. and new lead: John Howell, Surry Va. (John Howellm. Sarah Parker 1765 in Va.).
As is noticeable the information concerns land dealing in Virginia for around 1638. I am wondering if anyone can give me more information on the man and his family listed as John Howell and/or Lt. John Howell? Most of that shown information about him and concerning me mentions the counties of Charles City., Bristol Parish, in Virginia and Bute Co., (in present day, two counties) NC.
Any help would be appreciated, whereever it leads.
Thanks.
Tom Howell
