I am looking for any information about the BARNARDS SMARTS and BETTIS that lived in Cherokee County NC. I have just recently started researching the BETTIS name so I don't know anything about them. My husband is a BETTIS. His father is Joe Bettis, his father was Eston Bettis and that is all I know. They were all raised from around Andrews or Marble, Cherokee County, NC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
