I am trying to determine if the Richard Ivey in this 11-28-1889 article from the newspaper "Carolina Watchman" is the son of Leonard Ivey, my paternal line from Robeson Co., NC. (Link below)
The article mentions that he was employed by S. N. Ferguson of Bladenboro. Besides being the Chairman of the Bladen School Board in 1901-02, I know that he was also in business for himself. Two other names mentioned are Joseph Rorgers and Thomas Pittman. Does anyone know anything about this man or any of the other men mentioned in the article? Does anyone know what type of business Mr. Ferguson owned?
