Have family solid to William "Moses" Nichols born 1791 in Hertsford Co. N.C. lived Craven Co. but then mostly Lincoln co. N.C. married Elizabeth "Bettie" Melson (dau of Peter).
Have Craven "Geneology" records William Nichols -doesn't connect...also, "Ancestry" lists parents of Moses as John/Sarah Stout Lytle of Lincoln co./Nashville - can't prove. Would love to have this straight for DAR - Please if you can, help!! I have spent years trying to find correct connections..Blessings, Carolyn N. Walker
