I am looking for George Taylor who was from New Bern North Carolina.He was born in 1851- 1853. His fathers name was John Taylor and his mothers name is Minerva. I know he ended up in Columbia County New York. I am not sure how he got there. I do realize that this is during slavery and my search is getting harder, but i think while his fathers name is common his mothers name is not. I do have a census where his son list his fathers birth place as Madagascar. Any Help is appreciated.
