I talked with a resident and family member who lives nearby. The plans are tenative now but she has a proposed map that shows her land becoming a parking lot and one of the ramps right over the cemetery. Now we are not sure if it will be possible to leave it undisturbed but I doubt it as supports would have to be installed for the ramp. The relative says she has been talking with others, a lawyer and a friend who is in the state beaurocracy, and they feel the state will bear the cost of moving the graves and buying a new plot for them. First all living relatives would have to be notified. We know relatives for all but the Newberns buried there and are getting in touch. Now to wait for the state and it could be weeks, months, or a couple of years. Who knows.
