Surnames: Dutcher, Snow, Lewark, Twiford, Brinson,
The Gallop-Snow cemetery is located at Powells Point NC one mile up Snow Lane (SR 1115). I visited this cemetery in 2007 and find it is just beside a borrow pit lake. Is this the next waterfront housing development? Some names from memory of folks buried there: Dutcher, Lewark, Brinson, Banks, Snow,Gallop,Scarborough,White. I got the name and location of the cemetery from the Currituck Cemetery Book. If you are interested in photos of some of the stones I will be glad to share.
