Phillip D. Dozier (1787 - 1855) appears to be the minor son of "Peter Dozier" who was married to Cloe Etheridge of Currituck, NC. He was too young to be James son but was his grandson; he is mentioned in his father's (Peter) will; his guardian was appointed in 1799 in Currituck; His mother is listed with young sons in the 1800 Census; he was the grandson of James Dozier.
