That's the same information I keep finding out there too, however I have my doubts about it because

1. the marriage record they've attached to Mary "Coleman" is actually for a marriage to a Joshua Horn, not Benjamin Crabb.
2. there aren't any sources listed for Benjamin being his father, though for the Currituck area I have found a John Crabb listed in a tax record from 1723-35 and then a Benjamin Crabb shows up (when John disappears) on the 1750 tax list. So, I can guess that one or the other is his father, but I don't know for sure.

What I'm hoping is that someone might have some local records access that I don't (I'm in Oklahoma) and can find a will document for either John or Benjamin (Sr?) in North Carolina, or my Benjamin (Jr?) in Wayne, Tennessee.

Thanks though!
