Have a labor of love going on for best friend who until a couple of years ago did not know anything about her family

My friend is the great granddaughter of Sidney Cleveland Beasley (1885-1964) and Ella L Whitehurst who were married in Currituck 1909.

Trying to identify who Ella L Whitehurst was. Middle initial shows as "L" in the marriage records, but no parents are given.

Some researchers are identifying her as Ella S Whitehurt, daughter of Tamor C Whitehurst and Elzabeth S. However, this Ella was born in 1898, which would have made her 11 upon her marriage.

Any help to identify Ella L Whitehurst and her parents will be much appreciated.
