Simeon was the son of Simeon T. Sawyer (b. 1782 - d. 1814) and his wife Dorcas (b. 1782 - d.1860). She may be the daughter of John Tatum who left his will Dec. 8, 1807 - March 1, 1808 and names among his children Darkes SAWYER. After Simeon's death she married Daniel Lindsey, Jr. She is living with her son Caleb T. Sawyer in 1860.
Simeon who died in 1814 was the son of Jacob Sawyer who's will was proven in 1827.
