Bond was Drawn up 1821-Recorded 1825. Sanderling spelling in the opening, but Signature is Sanderlan. My interest is in Thomas C. Casey. Any reference or knowledge of this Casey Family please email me.
Wilson Sanderling Bond to Thomas C. Casey
State of North Carolina Camden County know all me by these presents that I Wilson Sanderling am held and firmly bound unto Thomas C. Casey of Currituck County and State aforementioned, in the penal(?) sum of five hundred dollars the which payment will and truly to be made I bind myself my heirs Executors administrators and assigns jointly firmly and severally by these presents, unto him the said Thomas C. Casey his heirs and assigns as witness my hand and seal this 14 day of May 1821.
The condition of the above Obligation that whareas I the above Thomas C. Casey have this day given the said Wilson Sanderling a Title to a certain tract of Land laying in Lenneface in the County of Montgomery which was guarded by the State of North Carolina for the services for Captain William Goodman dec'd now if the said Wilson Sanderling shall sue for and recover the said land or obtain it in any other way that is to say the nine hundred and sixty acres named in the deed or any part of said land or what ever part maybe recovered or to pay said Casey one half of the money arising from the sales therof should he sell it for money now if the said Wilson Sanderling does make as good a title to said Casey to one half of the land as he is invested with in the deed when recovered or pays him one half the money arising from the sale of said land then this obligation to be voide or of no effect or otherwise to remain in full force and virtue signed sealed and delivered in the otherwise presents of
