I have traced my GGGGGGrandfather..

BARTHOLOMEW THOMPSON

.....b: May 16, 1762
.....d: August 17, 1838 Lincoln County, NC

back to 1778-79 Currituck County, NC.

He enlisted in the Currituck County Mailtia during the Revolutionary War (1779)
He was discharged in Hillsboro, NC and remained in Mecklenburg/Lincoln County
where he married in 1785.
He is buried at Bethaven Baptist Church Cemetery in Denver, NC.

I believe he is a son of William and Mason (Maiden name Unknown) - THOMPSON

I would deeply appreciate information from anyone having a ...FEMALE... ancestor
from Currituck County area with a Given name of ...... MASON.

I am trying to determine her Maiden-Surname.

This is an especially unusual given name for a female but Mason is documented
many times within Currituck County abstracts.

William's will names her and a daughter as well named Mason.
