I need to find a will or probate packet for John Sutton who was living in Sumner Co., NC, in July 1787. He may be the father or grandfather of my ancestor, Thomas Sutton, who was living in Jefferson County, MS, in 1820. John is the earliest Sutton I've found in MS. A later one was living in MS at the same time Thomas was. I think there's a connection.
