I have a Jesse HARRIS b abt. 1787 in NC. His wife is Sarah ? b abt. 1805 in NC. The only children I have listed for him is Tabitha, Frances, Zula, Thomas D., and George W. I find this HARRIS family living in Marshall Co., MS by 1830. As I look at the family of Jesse HARRIS and Frances WARD I see many of these family names who match my family in Marshall Co., MS. I also find the names Turner and Emsley in the Index for Marshall Co., MS. Any help would be appreciated. The only proof I can give that this Jesse HARRIS family was in Davidson, NC is from the book," Davidson Co., NC Heritage " published by the Genealogical Society of Davidson Co., NC. On page 246 is a listing for the family of Emsley HARRIS which lists his parents and siblings which are Jesse HARRIS md Frances WARD with children Ranson, George, Thomas, Turner, Emsley, William, Jesse, Nancy and Frances. My Jesse HARRIS is listed in the 1820 Census for Davidson Co., NC and I belive him to be the child of Jesse and Frances (WARD) HARRIS.
