I am wondering if Hezekiah and our Nicholas Thomas may have been brothers. Where was Hezekiah born? Nicholas Thomas, according to the census, was born in Maryland, but moved to NC. He married Mary Ann (Polly) Morris in Randolph Co. in 1812. One of his known sisters was Jane Thomas, born in 1792 and a known brother was Jeremiah who was born in 1796. I have that Maria M. Rothrock m. Hezekiah K. Thomas on April 26, 1826. Nicholas Thomas lived in the Piney Wood section near Hasty School on Rich Fork Creek in old Rowan Co. His Thomas descendants are still found in Davidson and Forsyth Counties.
