Does anyone have any information to trade on the descendants of the following family? They are part of a huge WALK family tree I am working on. Dan_Stevenson@lajolla.sparta.com

Joseph HANES (1784-1847) married Mary (Polly) A. SNOW (c1800-1867) in 1823 at Rowan Co., NC. They lived at Fulton, Davie Co., NC. They had a son Lewis Clark HANES (Capt.) (1827-1905), who was a Veteran of the Civil War. Capt. Lewis HANES lived at Lexington, Davidson County, NC for many years where he was postmaster for a period. He first married Louisa Virginia THOMPSON (1831-1859) in 1851 at Davidson Co., NC and then Lenora Ann HUMPHREY (1840-1911) in 1865 at Davidson Co., NC. Lewis and Lenora are buried at the Lexington City Cemetery and Louisa is buried at the Fulton United Methodist Church Cemetery in Davie County. In 1870 the parents and first four living children (CHARLES, J.B., MARY and LEWIS) were living at the Town of Lexington, Household #63, Davidson County, North Carolina. LEWIS was listed as a Life and Fire Insurance agent. In 1880 the parents, MAMIE (MARY), LEWIS F., SUSAN, and MYRTLE were living at the Town of Lexington, Household #104, Davidson County, North Carolina. The son CHARLES and his family were living nearby (Household #102). I can't find the family on the 1900 Davidson County, North Carolina census. I need to check the 1900 North Carolina soundex. Lewis was the father of ten children:

1. CHARLES A. HANES (1852-1934) married Anna Florence OVERMAN in 1878 and are buried at the Lexington City Cemetery. They had four children of whom nothing is known.

2. JOSEPH H. HANES (1854-1854) is buried at the Fulton United Methodist Church Cemetery at Advance, Davie Co., NC

3. J. B. HANES (1856-???). He was witness to his elder brother's CHARLES wedding in 1878. Nothing else is known.

4. EMMA M. HANES (???-1858) and
5. DAVID T. HANES (1859-1859) are buried at the Fulton United Methodist Church Cemetery at Advance, Davie Co., NC

6. MARY E. HANES (1866-1935) (MAMIE) married James Dandridge NEAL (1852-1900) in 1893 at Lexington. Any Children? Both buried at Lexington City Cemetery.

7. LEWIS FRANCIS HANES (1868-1938) is buried at Lexington City Cemetery next to LENORA MYRTLE HANES (1877-1941). Was LENORA his wife or sister?

8. SUSAN E. HANES (1871-1947) married Adam Lee SINK (1866-1933) in 1891 at Lexington. Both buried at Lexington City Cemetery. Parents of three girls: Lenora Hanes SINK (1893-1975) married Samuel Richardson HILL Sr.; Annie Louise SINK (1896-???) married Floyd G. JOHNSON (DDS); and Mary Lillian SINK (1902-1987) who married Jerry Otto BOAZE. All three girls are buried at Lexington City Cemetery.

9. LILLIAN L. HANES (1984-1876) is buried at Lexington City Cemetery.

10. MYRTLE HANES (1877-???). Is she the Lenora Myrtle HANES (1877-1941) buried next to Lewis Frances HANES at Lexington City Cemetery?
