They did live in Limestone. Edna's first (and, technically, only) husband was Burrell or Burwell Edwards; he died during the Civil War. Henry and Edna were not married; this may have been because of his race (if he was unable to "pass" as a white man so that they could get a license) or because she was still collecting a pension for Burrell. One of Edna's children was fathered by a Franklin Edwards, but there is not indication that she was married to him either.
