I am interested in anyone who is researching the following family names in Tarboro,Edgecombe Co., NC: Haggins, Ricks, Mourning, Staton, Williams.
I am a descendant of Elizabeth Ricks b. December 1904 d.May 1965 who was married to Austin Haggins.

Elizabeth's parents were Emily Z. Mourning b.187? and John Ricks, both of Tarboro. Austin's mother's name was ?Bashie.

Emily and John had 2 sons, Claude and Robert and another daughter named Terna Irez.
John's parent's as listed in the 1880 Census were Robert Ricks b.in Virginia and Didy b. Aug.1844 NC
Emily's Parents were Noah Mourning b.1847 and Emily b. 1850/1851 (maiden last name was either Staton or Williams),they were married in 1868 and they had 17 children.
Her parents were (M)Minnie Staton and (F)Dam Williams, both were born in Warrenton, NC. Noah's father as listed in the 1900 Census was also named Noah and he was born in 1800. The older Noah also had a son named John whose wife and mother's names were Rachael.
