Ms. Jackie Marie Mauldin Tingle, of Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, died Monday, July 16, 2001.

She was born in Rowan County to Morris Glen and Thelma Motley Mauldin, June 6, 1954.

She was a talented pianist and loved to write short stories. She was a former Miss Mocksville. She was a woman who could make you smile on your worst of days. She will not be easily forgotten.

Ms. Tingle is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Tingle; her mother; three sisters, Ann Briggs Shaver, Janet Mauldin and Linda Mauldin Keziah; a brother, Maurice Mauldin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at No Creek Primitive Baptist Church. The church is located on No Creek Church Road, off Highway 64 E., five to six miles out of Mocksville. Vogler & Sons Clemmons Chapel is serving the family
