Christian and Peter were brothers not father and son. It was Christoph that imigrated. I am saying that Christian your great grandfather is my great granduncle. Christoph is their father. The error is that people believe that Christoph and Christian are the same and therefore are combining their research under one name and this is wrong. I bet your great grandfather had a son named Peter, but he is the son of Christian who is the son of Christoph. In other words my line is Christoph, Peter, Jacob and your is Christoph, Christian, Peter. I can supply most if not all the documentation. Lets work together and resolve the conflict which is minor. I agree with your findings as long as Peter and Christian are brothers and their father was Christoph who later was called Christian. Last example, Christian your great grandfather you say married Anna Leinbach who was a widow of Abraham who was born in 1712. You said Christian was born in 1745 which make a hugh difference in age between Anna and Christian which would have been frowned upon in the Moravian set. (Much older women much younger man) Peter was born in 1750 which would make him the younger brother of Christian. It is Christoph Schmidt the father of Christian and Peter who married Ann Leinbach. Please let me know, I guess it's OK to agree to disagree. Unless you have something I don't I can not see how it could be any other way.
