THOMAS, ROTHROCK, ZIEGLER, NADING, MILLER, LAGENAUER

Maria Magdalena ROTHROCK (Mary) was the daughter of Jacob ROTHROCK (1771-1848) and Esther ZIEGLER (1777-1845) who lived at Friedberg, Forsyth County, North Carolina. Mary was born in 1806 at Friedberg. She married Hezekiah K. THOMAS (1805-1890) in 1826 at Davidson County, NC. Hezekiah died at Winston, Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, NC. Mary was living at the time of Hezekiah's death, but I don't know her death date or where either is buried. In 1850 family lived at Davidson Co., NC. In 1860 at Salem District, Forsyth Co., NC. In 1870 at Winston Township, Forsyth Co., NC. They were parents of seven known children:

1. Jacob M. THOMAS (1827-1890) married Anna Maria NADING (1829-1907) in 1848 at Stokes Co., NC. Buried at Liberty Cemetery, near Bethania. Parents of five known children, Mary C., Lewis D., Esther Maria Eliza, Ella and Emma.

2. Alson G. THOMAS (1830-1871) married Anna Maria ROTHROCK (1829-1879) in 1854 at Davidson Co., NC. Maria buried at Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery at Midway, Davidson Co., NC. Alson buried at ???. Parents of four known children, Mary A.R. Eleander, Sarah Eliza Jane, William Henry Martin, and John Alson. After Alson died Maria married Joseph H. MILLER (1806-1887).

3. Lewis F. THOMAS (1831-1907) married Sarah Eliza ??? (1835-1905). Buried at Pine Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in South Fork Twp., Forsyth Co., NC. Parents of four known children, John, Lewis, Robah A. and Flora C.

4. Lucy M. THOMAS (1834-???), no information, died young?

5. Esther R. THOMAS (1836-1907) married James Calvin MILLER (1830-1908) in 1856 at Forsyth Co., NC. Buried at Salem City Cemetery, W-S, NC. Parents of four known children, Jesse, Mary Elizabeth, Laura N. and Alice L.

6. William Henry THOMAS (1840-???), nothing known, died young?

7. Samuel A. THOMAS (1842-1922) married Clara LAGENAUER (1844-1918). Buried at Salem City Cemetery, at W-S, NC.
