LEXINGTON - Mrs. Carrie Hill Reich, 83, of Country Club Drive died at 11:39 a.m. Wednesday at Forsyth Medical Center after a critical illness of three weeks.
Mrs. Reich was born Dec. 20, 1918, in Davidson County to James M. Hill and Stella Hege Hill.
She was retired from Davidson County Community College, was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church, a member of the choir, worship committee, Unity Circle, Willing Workers Class and a former member of the administrative board. She was also a member of the Lexington Civinettes.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Lewis Reich, on Jan. 4, 1971, and Jewell Peck on April 27, 1988; a brother, J.W. Hill; and two sisters, Gladys Leonard and Ida Byerly.
Mrs. Reich is survived by a brother, Cromer Hill and wife Gladys of Lexington; and a sister, Elsie H. Everhart and husband Bruce J. of Lexington. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Beulah Hill of Lexington.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Good Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Arthur Holland and Doug Floyd. Burial will follow at Enterprise Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times at the home of the sister, Elsie Everhart, on Friendship Road.
