I would like to establish contact with any descendant of Sherwood GRIMSLEY, b. abt 1702 in VA or his brother John GRIMSLEY whom were among the earliest pioneers in the Granville District of North Carolina in the counties of Halifax and Edgecombe, later to become Granville, Co., NC.

I'm researching the "Sherod GRIMSLEY" family listed in the Marshal Co., AL census and would be interested in exploring a possible connection to either Sherwood or John GRIMSLEY residing in Granville District of North Carolina in the 1730s or thereabouts.

Census: 1850 Marshall Co., AL, 23rd Subdivision, Page # 234
