I am researching my mother's WILSON line. Her father was ROY TURNER WILSON, b. 10/14/00, in Dabney or Henderson, NC. This is now Vance County, but was Granville County until about 1896. Roy had six (6) siblings:
RUTH ALEXANDER (WILSON) HESTER, b 12/03/1892; MYRTLE WILSON, b 1894; HENRY BOYD WILSON, b. 1898; PETTIS WILSON, b. 1904; LENNIE LEE WILSON, b. 1907; TREVA (WILSON) HAHL, b. 1/23/06; all born in Granville Co. Their father was WILLIAM HENRY WILSON
b. 4/26/1867, Townsville Township, Granville Co., d. 8/29/1931, buried in Island Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Williamsboro, NC. Their mother was CARRIE LEE (BARKER) WILSON, b. 1870, daughter of HENRY CLAY BARKER, b. 1846, and ELIZABETH (?) BARKER, all of Granville Co.. William's father was MARION MACDONALD (MCDONALD) WILSON, b. 1841-42. Marion's wife was AMEY (or ANNIE) F. (KNOTT) WILSON, b 1842-43, Gregory Mill, Island Creek Dist., Granville Co., daughter of D.W. KNOTT, b. 7/20/1813, d. 5/01/1899, and LUNDY BEULAH (WILSON) KNOTT, b. 11/08/1816, d. 3/26/1884, buried Family Cemetery, Williamsboro, NC.
From the limited info we have, we believe Marion was the son of SOLOMON GEORGE WILSON, b. 1814-15 and PRICILLA (STARK) WILSON, and Solomon's father was ROBERT WILSON, b. 1790, possibly in Virginia. I am trying to confirm the ancestory from Marion and get info on earlier ancestors. Any help will be appreciated!!
