In August 1789, John Lescollet and John Wilson were named as 'Executors' for the Last Will and Testiment for Isaiah VanSandt in Greene County, North Carolina. This County eventually became part of Tennessee when it joined the union on June 1, 1796. John Lescollet was named again in 1801 (Witness to the will of John Freshour, Sr.) and yet again on the 1812 Tax List of Greene County, Tennessee, but I can not find him in the 1800 or 1810 Census. There is no indication that he was a major adventurist, it just appears that the political map around him moved. Does anybody have any info on this family?
