she is listed in the 1930 US census as born abt 1906, in NC, In the relation to head-of-house column, permanent, and home in Quewhiffle, Hoke, NC. Could someone give me a clue as to what the "permanent" would mean? There were a number of other names that were listed the same way. Thanks. Rich
