For what it is worth, the family story is that when Robert Cass and Elisha Cass (sons of James A.) were in Kentucky, they met another Cass (Cast), Bowman's son Ezekiel, and discovered that he was their first cousin. At some point, Elisha and Ezekiel both moved to Vernon Township, Clinton Co., Ohio.
