I am looking for any information on Robert Burton Cook born July 14, 1842 and lived in Iredell County, NC. He enlisted in the Confederate Army in June, 1861, and was a private in the 4th Regiment of the North Carolina Infantry. He was a sharpshooter who was wounded at the Battle of Chancellorsville May 3, 1863 and the Battle of the Wilderness May 5, 1864. He was also with General Lee’s troops when they surrendered at Appomattox Courthouse.
He had a son named James Albert Cook. I dont know Robert's wifes name or any other childrens names. Nor do I know marriage or death information.
Any help you could give me would be appreciated.
