My bother-in–law is not interested in genealogy and I have not researched Martha King’s family.
Thomas Britt appears in the 1790 Bertie Co, NC Census. Don’t find any listing for him in the 1800 NC Census, Listed again in the 1810 Bertie Co., NC Census. He shows up in the 1820 Sampson Co, NC Census then in the 1830 Wayne Co, NC Census (Roll: 12 Page: 505) (Age 56).The 1840 Johnston Co, NC Census (Roll: 363 Page: 248) list him as age 66.
I have not found Rigdon Britt by name in any census data. Based on the age of his first child, William (b. 1833) I estimate that he and Wilmouth Langston were married about 1832, also based on Wilmoth being born in 1809 I estimate that Rigdon was born about between 1795 and 1808. He is named as deceased in his fathers will, therefore he had died before the will was written in 1859 also he does not appear with his wife Wilmouth (Willey) Britt in the 1850 Johnston Co. census, as Wilmouth’s last child, Alley Britt, was born about 1847 it would appear that Rigdon died between 1847 and 1850.
Patsy Jane Britt married Samuel Lee, Jr. on January 16, 1837 (Ref: http://www.johnstonnc.com/jc_hc_marriagebond_name.cfm
), therefore I estimate she was born about 1817. I have not found her and Samuel Lee, Jr. in the Johnston Co. census.
Rebecca (Beca) Mariah Britt is living with her brother Henry Britt in the 1850 and the 1860 Johnston Co. census with her age given as 42 in 1860. She married John Gregory on May 29, 1838 (Ref: http://www.johnstonnc.com/jc_hc_marriagebond_name.cfm
