I am trying to find my lineage on my fathers side of the family and as being African-American my research is dismal past 1870. I have been researching for 7 years. I am thinking that I am related to Master Alexander Hicks of Onslow county, and/or Solomon Hicks of Jones county. My research starts with Edmund Hicks b. 1817(Onslow county) wife Rose(jones)Hicks b.1825. Please can someone help me?
