Lenoir County had a couple of major courthouse fires in 1878 & 1880 that destroyed most of their early records. The Marriage Registers 1873-1966 are on microfilm and are probably available for viewing through your local LDS Family History Centers.
FamilySearch has a terrific database of "NC Marriages 1759-1979" which are online and searchable and if you haven't done so before you might want check it out:
