I assume that you are descended from Solomon Grooms and Amelia Lewis. Amelia was born ca 1765 and married second 1799 to James Arrington in Washington Co. TN. This is from Madison Co. NC Heritage Book. On their paternal side, my children descend from George Grooms born ca 1803-04 NC or SC, parentage not know and wife Anna born 1801-02 NC. They had son, Henry Grooms, Sr., b 1835-36 possibly Cocke Co TN. Henry m 30 June 1858 in Haywood Co NC to Eliza Caldwell dau of William Caldwell. Henry Grooms had a dau Nancy who married Jonas (sometimes transcribed James) Richard Sutton. This is my children's line.ren's line.
