An addendum to the above message. My grandfather, Allen (Viney's son)died in Greeneville, TN (2/1/1917 - 1/29/1984) and was buried by Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home at Bethany Freewill Baptist Cemetery (services held at Fall Branch Funeral Home Chapel on 2/1/1984). I am not familiar with the area, but wondered if Viney might also be interred there. I don't really even know where any of these places are (TN or NC?) or if they were established at that time or not. Allen's obituary lists a brother, James Hensley, so it seems possible that she remarried when her Norton spouse died. I have traced my Norton ancestry a good way, but would like to know more about her, as she raised my mother.

All I do know for sure is that she married John L. Norton ca. 1915-1920 and lived in Whiterock, NC (Madison Co) for the rest of her life (prob. died between 1955-1980).
