John, did you get the information you needed for this question? Warner Gordon Bailey married Mary Ann Gurganus, my great grand aunt, sister of my ggf. Their father was Simon Gurganus. Martin County Heritage and Pitt County Chronicals differ as to who Simon's wife was, and I've found a death certificate for Mary Ann's sister Emily that seems to support the Pitt book.
