Surnames: Taylor Griffin Harrell
I will have to check into that 1850 census and see if I can find a James Harrell in that age range. My Sarah lived in Martin County NC but her parents came from Edgecombe County NC. There seems to be a connection between the Taylor, Griffin, and Harrell families that lasted through several generations. Whether they had common ancestry or place of origin is unknown. They have a history of intermarriage. You may have correct info as spelling was often incorrect. See if you can find any documents on Sarah that list her parents names. Bythel is an unusual name and is of Welsh origin. If I find anything more, I will post here. If you make a discovery, please let me know. It is possible that they moved to Arkansas following the Civil War and the time frame does make this a possible match.
