I have just begun to research my husband's Grandmother's
Lentz Lineage.She was born in McDowell Co., NC.
Ora Belle Lentz b. 5/28/1905 was the 6th child of
George Martin Lentz b. 8/11/1870 d.6/6/1954 I believe in McDowell Co.,NC his wife was Alice A. Barnes. Marriage date
Unknown. Info from Cousin who has Grandma Belle's Bible states her siblings as:

2)James Frederick Lentz b. 10/20/1896 d. 10/6/1933
Burke Co. Deaths list his name as John Robert Lent,son of George M.Lentz & Alice Barnes 21 /341 I don't know why difference in name?

3)Harry Grayson Lentz b. 7/29/1899 d. 1/14/1924

4) Kate Lentz b. 5/31/1901 d.1904 at 3yrs

5)LaFayette "Fate" Eugene Lentz b. 4/25/1903 d. 12/29/1979

6)Ora Belle Lentz Austin b. 5/28/1905 d. 4/5/1989 in Stark Co., Canton, Ohio. Married William Amos Auston 9/1/1922 in McDowell Co.,NC

7) Minnie Mae Lentz Browning b. 2/13/1907 d. 6/27/1987

8) Max Young Lentz b. 12/24/1908 d. 4/21/1984

9) Annie Laura Lentz b. 1/12/1911

10) Ed Talmage Lentz b. 3/10/1913 His wife Helen died 5/17/1988 in Marion, NC

11) George Earl Lentz b. 4/19/1915

As far as we know they all lived in & around the Marion, Nebo, Morganton area of NC.
