Haiden William Bailey, age 15 months, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday July 2, 2008 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. Haiden was born on March 18, 2007 to Joshua Cody William Bailey and Amanda Leigh King of Marion. Haiden loved his little red wagon and his construction helmet. He always slept with his zebra. Haiden loved to tell the dogs to hush and he enjoyed playing the guitar with his dad. He liked to play in the water and throw rocks. He loved Elmo, the Tarheels, the Panthers, and he loved to talk on the cell phone. Haiden loved his favorite cousin Devan "Bug" Frady, son of Aunt Jessica and Anthony Frady. He enjoyed playing with and kissing his first girlfriend Brooke, daughter of Josh Ledford. Haiden was a hero to his family because in his death, he gave life to others through organ donation.
In addition to his parents, Haiden is survived by his paternal grandmother Tina Bailey and step granddad James Johnson; maternal grandmother Rebecca Lindsey and husband Kevin Lindsey; and maternal grandfather Ernest King; aunts, Kathy King, Amy Lindsey and Haley Teaster; uncle Matt King; paternal great grandmother Jessie Hensley and husband Paul Presnell; maternal great grandparents Vern and Sybil Flannery; and a great-great-grandfather Charles Hensley.
A celebration of Haiden's life was held on Sunday July 13, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Casey Head officiating. Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the Bailey family.
