Myrtle Frady Silver, 70, of Marion, died Thursday, March 22, 2001 at The McDowell Hospital. Born in McDowell County to the late Charles Hicks Frady and Estelle Laughter Frady, she was retired from Tultex and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Silver and son, James Ralph Silver, Jr.
Survivors include: three sons: Donald R. "Butch" Silver and Boyce Dean Silver, both of Marion and Troy L. Silver, of Rutherfordton; a daughter, Sarah Teal Morgan, of Nebo; four sisters: Blanche Romine and Bonnie Wilson, both of Marion, Nell Stafford of Hickory and Ruby McMahan of Burnsville; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 pm Sunday, March 25, 2001 at Westmoreland Chapel and burial was in McDowell Memorial Park. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at Westmoreland Funeral Home. Westmoreland Funeral Home assisted the family.
