Hi Michael. I am related to the Cannon line, through John Cannon(son of James Cannon and Mary Boren) b.2/16/1726/1727 in Newburry,SC and d.1/19/1794 there also. He married Martha Alexander in 1754 in Charlotte,Mecklenburg,NC(she was b.1733 in Coch,PA and d.10/8/1798 in Mecklenburg co.) They had 15 children,and seem to have moved around alot. Children were born in SC, NC,and PA. Benjamin Cannon died in Bledsoe Co., TN on 5/29/1849. Many of the children do not have birth or death places. I am from their son James Cannon, b.6/5/1755 in 06th district Greenwood co.,SC and d.10/8/1849 in Old Union, Daviess co.,IN. However he married Jemima Nichols in 1782 in Montgomery co.,NC. Most family in this line stayed in IN then some to IA in the 1900's. Do you think we are related? I do. If you have any other info I would appreciate hearing from you. Paula
