I listed Thomas and Jane (Morrison) Alexander a couple of years ago, and I got a response from a descendant, whom I
answered. But failed to hear back from the descendant, and then found that I had failed to record the email address.

Ch: Morrison, Albert, Thomas, Amelia, Susannah, Margaret,
Annabella, Edwin, Benjamin F. Thomas was said to be one
of the best students ever to graduate from Davidson College.
He studied Ministry at Princeton and later went to Florida as
a Missionary. He was said to have married twice, but I do not
have any information here. One source said he died in his prime. He had given land to the Presbyterian Church in the
area, near Madison, FL [Pat Morrison <patmorrison@cox.net>]

Edwin Alexander married Susan M. Clark, and they had two
children who died young: Mary Abigail and Rollin(s) Silvester.

I am hoping that the descendant, or any descendant, will get
in touch so we can exchange information.

Thomas Alexander was s/o Benjamin and Susannah (Polk)
Alexander of PA and Mecklenburg Co., NC. The family migrated from Germantown, PA, just west of Philadelphia,
about 1750s. Son Charles was born in Mecklenburg Co., NC,
on Jan 4, 1755.

The family Bible of Thomas and Jane was in possession of
Mrs. Mary Louise Davidson, who passed away in recent past.
Mary Davidson had furnished the children of Thomas and Jane
for the article "Our Heritage," in the Monroe Enquirer-Journal,
Monroe, Union Co., NC, column dated July 23, 1959. (4 issues: July 9, 16, 23, and 30).

I had tried to get in touch with Mary L. Davidson using her old
address on Tryon Street, which was in the article, and the ltr
came back undelivered. Unknown to me, she still lived, and
was in another location in Charlotte at the time. I knew when
I saw a notice of her death in Charlotte. I think she and her
sister were living together.

Thomas Alexander (1753-1844); Jane Morrison Alexander (1759-1819)...m. 1782...both died in Mecklenburg Co., NC, & bd. Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church, Graveyard #2.

Thanks. Mac Alexander
