Hi,

The David Morrow who m. Martha Brashears in Guilford Co, NC, and died in Mecklenburg Co, in 1810, may well be grandparent of your Morrow. Here is some data on that family:

71. Martha Brashear, (d/o Robert Brashears, d. 1810), b. c1754, Orange (now Guilford) Co, NC, d. c1830, Mecklenburg Co, NC; m. c1771 in Guilford Co, NC, David Morrow, b. c1750, Orange (now Guilford) Co, NC, d. c1810, Mecklenburg Co, NC, s/o Samuel Morrow. David's will was filed in Mecklenburg Co, NC, in 1810 (Benjamin Weather and Lemuel Bigham, admrs). Martha's will was filed in Mecklenburg Co in 1830 (James Gordon and Aaron Houston, admrs). Though David's will does not give his wife's name, both their wills name the same children. Their daughter, Ann, has the surname Crockett in David's will, but McCollough in Martha's, suggesting she married twice. David and Martha Morrow had a granddaughter, Mary K. Morrow, whom Martha named in her will in 1830.

David and Martha (Brashear) Morrow had ties with the Guilford Co Brashear clan, and were still in Guilford Co in 1772:

Guilford Co, NC, Deed Bk 1, p.190, 18 Aug 1772, David Morrow of Guilford and Martha, his wife, to Thomas Cummings of same, one hundred twenty pounds, 440 acres, on Buffaloe Creek, waters of Haw River, part of a tract from Granville to Robt. Brashears, 6 Dec 1761. Brashears to Harmon Husband, Husband to Morrow, Begin at a white oak the corner tree of original survey, E 71 ½ ch. to a hickory, S 40 ch. to a white oak saplin, W 107 ½ ch. to a black oak saplin, N 40 ch. to Archibald Mickleryor's [meant to be McElroy] corner, E 35 ch., S to beginning; signed David Morrow, Martha [ O ] Morrow; witness: Adam Starr; acknowledged at November 1772 Term, which means they were physically present in Guilford County.

The Morrows had lived in Maryland, Caroline Co, VA, and Augusta Co, VA, before David moved to Orange/Guilford Co, NC and settled near the Robert C. and Charity Brashear colony. Others who moved with David Morrow include Daniel Gillespie, Hugh Mecklon, Rev. David Caldwell, ____ McAdoo, ____ White, ____ Cunningham, ____ Beall, and ____ Dent. These families lived in the Buffalo Church neighborhood of Guilford Co, NC (re: Virginia Elkins, 3318 Wiley Rd, Montgomery, AL 36106).

Samuel Morrow, s/o David Morrow, had children:
1. David Morrow, b. c1750; m. Martha Brashears, b. c1754
2. John Morrow, m. Mary Kelsey;
3. Thomas Morrow, m. Jane McCarty;
4. Samuel Morrow, m. Jane (Peden) Morton;
5. George Morrow, m.1. Mary Calhoun, m.2. Mary Mecklen;
6. Robert Morrow, moved to Chester Co, PA;
7. Mary Morrow, moved to Chester Co, PA.

Family of David Morrow and Martha Brashears:
10. 81. James Morrow, m. Christine Ray,
11. 9x. Arthur Morrow, "s/o James Morrow and Christine Ray, m. Elizabeth Brasher, d/o Asa Brasher," according to Tennessee Cousins, which seems to be in error. Capt. Asa Brasher of Guilford Co, NC had no daughter, Elizabeth; his daughter, Jemima, however, m.2. Arthur Morrow.
12. 82. David Morrow, who lived on Sugar Creek, Mecklenburg Co
13. 83. Margery Morrow, m. _____ Hegans,
