There are several Huddleston Family Tables books, which show some of those Huddlestons that came from Bucks Co, PA, (1680s), then Bedford Co, VA, (1780s). My line came to Chatham Co, NC in the 191xs. Since I can't find any dates in your message, I am at a loss to assist with Mecklenburg. What Century/Decade are you referring to?
The first Huddleston I have found is Capt John Huddleston, or the Bona Nova, owned land in Jamestown area 1620s and Nevus, near St Kitt. His descendants were in Briston, Mass, marrying Quakers, and Bucks Co, Pa. One female was in West N.J. and another male William was in N.Y. Capt. John saved the Pilgrims in their first winter by providing fish and other foods (they were starving). He also explored the rivers in Maine. His franchise was for fishing in the Virginia Waters (read as Atlantic Ocean of America). He disappeared in the middle to late 1620s. His
English home was East of London. His land wass used as a reference in Virginia and Nevus. His family left the Nevus area due to Pirates and Hurricanes in 1660s as I remember.
Capt. John >several children, incl. a William; then a Henry who wettled in Buck Co; a Valentine was b in 1620 and lived in Briston, Mass and owned land in Bucks County, as did Henry.
