Is any one else researching the John Christian (son of Christopher) family of Montgomery County, NC?

In John's 1831 will he named his wife as Mary, and listed his living children as:
1) Maria Jenkins (m. 1) George W. McCain, 2) Martin Rush)
2) Eli W.
3) John Lewis (m. Eliza Lilly)
4) Mary Ann (m. Dr. John H. Montgomery)
5) Samuel H. (m. Eliza A. ???)

John and Mary were probably married ca. 1800 (Maria J. was born 1804).

My primary question is what was the maiden name of John's wife, Mary? I've heard "rumors" that she was a Scarborough, but I cannot find any evidence of this. "Jenkins" is a surname, and there was a Jenkins family in the area. "Lewis" might also be derived from a surname, but I cannot find any Lewis family in the area in the right time frame. (Wish I knew what the "W" in Eli W., and the "H" in Samuel H. stood for.)
