Family tradition has it that our Mary Unknown Griffin left Cattle Gap with her children, Patsy, Archibald, NOT to be confused with Col. Archibald who married Lucy Arrington, Quinny, Elizabeth, Martha, and Hardy G. Griffin between 1816 and 1823. Mary died in 1862 in Perry Co., Al. Her husband has been my brick wall for 19 years. My question: where is Cattle Gap and can anyone on the Nash Co., N.C. list be of any assistance in my quest for Mary,s husband????
