I am looking for information on the parents of Catherine Caroline CRUMPLER. I got their names from census records in Nash Co...they are Bennett and Rhoda H. CRUMPLER. I am also looking for the parents of Catherine's husband, James B. CARPENTER. I have not yet found a listing for his parents. Catherine and James were issued a marriage bond in Nash Co., NC on August. 26, 1874...he was 21 and she was 17, according to the bond information.

I believe James CARPENTER's father may have been a Doctor. My mom and her siblings all remember a story my grandmother, Ethel Mae JOYNER SULLIVAN, told them of one of her great-grandfathers being killed by a train while out on a house call one night in his horse- drawn buggy. He was said to be deaf, or very hard of hearing and did not hear the train coming.

Any help on either of these families would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
