I recently moved from Hertford, NC; it is about 2 miles from Winfall. The Perquimans County Library and the Perquimans County Restoration Association have a book out " Images of America: Perquimans County North Carolina." It has lots of pictures of how the area has changed over the years. Lots of family pictures dating back a lot of years. It is also available from http://www.arcadiapublishing.com. Go to the web site and ask for North Carolina and then Perquimans County. They also have lots of publications on many areas of the country. The Library in Hertford has a lot of historical information if you can go there. I have the book and find it to be most helpful to me. Perquimans County has a web site, but I cannot remember what it is. I will talk to my sister who lives there and ask her for it.
