My great-great grandfather John Wesley Tuck married as his first wife Mrs. Lucy Davie Sanford, daughter of Samuel and Emily "Miley" Jones Davie, and widow of Thomas J Sanford, 20 May 1841 in Granville Co. NC.  (I descend from
John Wesley's 2nd wife Eliza A Wilkinson)

Thomas J Sanford was the son of Robert Sanford and his second wife Mary ..... He married Lucy Davie 22 February 1833 in Person Co. NC.  He was dead by 1841.
They had three daughters.
        Mary E Sanford
        Emily Sanford
        Martha E Sanford m. William Gaston Allen (info in Person Co. Heritage Book on their family)

I have checked both Granville and Person Co. marriages for Mary and Emily and have come up empty-handed.  Does any one know what happened to these two girls???
