Thanks Jane...but this is not my husband's direct lineage..Mary's half-sister Alleyphere, is his..All I have for you is that Mary was born 9/8/1822 in Davidson Co. NC & died Jan 6, 1872 (Bible Records) and that they were on the 1850 Davidson Co. NC census...you might note that Rachel RILEY, age 70, was in that household in 1850. I do not know who Rachel is..not our lineage. Mary's father, Joseph Spence, left her share in his will to daughter, Martha Gibson, who was still in Davidson Co., NC. Joseph died April 8, 1876, in Independence Co., AR.
