Noticed your from 2011. I am researching the Thompsons, ancestors of my husband and daughter,who were from the Back swamp area of robeson . Sofar I have been able find an ancestor Alexander Thompson born to margaret who was born about 1828.After slavery he acquired land and was instrumental in the creation of several churches in the area
